My name is Lubna and I am a holistic massage therapist passionate about your health and wellbeing above simply easing your pain or chronic condition. After spending years working in property management in London I was left feeling stressed and unfulfilled.
I personally discovered the many benefits of massage therapy when I fractured my ankle and was so profoundly affected by the difference in my physical health and emotional well-being that I felt compelled to leave my job in order to study Holistic Massage. Now, health and wellbeing is my life! I practice yoga every morning, regularly attend and support my community fitness centre and have recently learnt how to swim. I have more energy, strength, flexibility and body awareness in my forties than I had in my twenties.
Since taking the leap into the holistic lifestyle and therapy I have studied and qualified in a variety of disciplines which I am now able to offer you. I specialise in Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Myofascial Release and Thai Yoga Massage. Most recently I focused my studies on Sports Massage and am excited to be learning about remedial massage for pain relief, trigger point therapy and sports stretching techniques.
I take a holistic approach with each client, working together we look at every aspect of their life, including diet, work and home stresses, physical activities, musculoskeletal imbalances and anything else that is relevant in order to provide the most effective treatment and advice.
Combined with my enthusiasm and passion for holistic massage I felt it was vital to learn from the very best teachers. I include here my gratitude for the training and inspiration I received from Kira Balaskas from the School of Thai Yoga Massage, Ralf Marzen from the Mudita School of Thai Yoga Massage and all at Jing Institute of Advanced Massage Training.
These amazing practitioners have helped me learn from techniques that have been passed down, tried and tested for thousands of years. Kira and Ralph have trained with the great masters of this ancient healing art, the likes of Asokananda. I believe it is important to learn from the purest source, approach with a deep respect and keep this ancient knowledge alive.
I very much look forward to the possibility of meeting you – I am conveniently based in the heart of City of London, a short walk from Liverpool Street Station and Moorgate, and offer a warm, welcoming and comfortable alternative to a clinic.
Having trained from professional gurus, I’m sure you will consider this when choosing a practitioner. So with all this good stuff you can get, contact me to book your appointment and look after your well-being.
